• The TTS takes place from Isla Todos Santos to the beach at Hotel Coral y Marina “Playitas” in two modalities:
  • Full Crossing 15 km / 9.3 mi: Solo swim or team swim.
  • Relay Crossing: 7.5 km / 4.7 mi per team.
• Each team must have two to three members (i.e., tandem or trio).
• Each team will have a designated support boat and designated kayak.
• The TTS is an unofficial swim that aims to replicate the protocol established by the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA). This crossing does not have judges to record the attempt and verify compliance with the rules, so no official certification of the crossing is granted.

Swimmers’ starting point and time: 7 am SHARP!

Swimmers must be in the channel between Todos Santos North and South Islands by 6:30 AM. Each team is responsible for arriving on time aboard their vessel, considering that the average navigation time from the Port of Ensenada is approximately 1:30 hr.  

Participants must swim approximately 100 meters from their boat to the beach on Todos Santos North Island. At 7 AM, a single start signal will be given. It is important that each kayak has a distinctive marker to help swimmers easily identify their support.

The crossing may be modified if weather conditions do not allow for a safe event (wind, waves)

Swim time window

The crossing must be completed within a maximum of 8 hours, starting from Isla Todos Santos at 7 AM and reaching Playitas at Hotel Coral y Marina NO LATER than 3 PM. Any team that is not close to the finish line by then must board their vessel. Authorization and support from the authorities will only be available until the designated time.

Organizers may propose a change of date or route if adverse weather conditions or instructions from the Ensenada Port Authority pose a safety risk to the event.

Pre-Race Meeting

• The pre-event meeting will take place at a local restaurant the evening before the event, at 4 pm.

The announcement, final route, and other points in this call are subject to change without prior notice. Safety is our priority. Any situation not specified herein will be resolved by the organizing committee.

DOES NOT Include

It is essential to have medical expenses insurance and sign a liability waiver. We can provide the contact information of an agency that offers daily insurance for around $7 USD.

• All participants must have medical insurance. If you don´t have any insurance, you may be interested in this Day insurance register . No swimmer may participate without medical insurance.
